Despatch & Delivery  


Your order is cold at the point of despatch, packed into insulated boxes in a temperature contolled environment.

Each box contains ice packs to ensure your goods remain cool on their journey.

Note: We would not expect these ice packs still to be frozen on receipt. They are designed to control the temperature on the journey.


Parcels are collected from us by Courier at around 4.30 pm each afternoon, Monday to Thursday and delivered to you on the next day.

Each morning we check the progress of your delivery, that it has reached your local depot overnight and that all parcels have been scanned onto delivery vehicles.

We offer a choice of delivery service: 'Before 12.00 Noon' and the 'Next Day' service which is delivered anytime up to 6.00 pm.

Each morning we check the progress of your delivery online, to ensure that it has reached your local depot during the night and that all parcels have been scanned onto delivery vehicles.

After midday we check that the 'Before 12.00 Noon' consignments have been delivered. We also track the progress of the 'Next Day' consignments and get confirmation of safe delivery the following morning.

Parcels can be left unsigned for if this is helpful. Kindly let us know of a suitable safe place where your delivery may be left if you will be out, or we could leave with a neighbour or deliver to your work address. If no message is given the driver will do his best to find a safe place.

Deliveries can of course be sent to friends or family as a gift....

Offshore Islands and remote areas of Scotland do carry a delivery surcharge. Please enquire. Email: enquiries@healfarm.co.uk

There is no delivery on Good Friday.




Your paperwork is included within the parcel.

Our products can be stored in the fridge for a few days (please note use by dates on the wrapping) or you could freeze almost all products - check label. See De-Frosting Guide.

If contained in trays with lids, tubs or are vacuum packed, products can be placed in the fridge or freezer as they are.

Large joints & birds are best removed from wrappings, covered lightly in fresh greaseproof and placed at the bottom of the fridge on a tray.

Note: Meats wrapped over a period of time without air around them can acquire an odour due to the anaerobic environment, especially with 'hung meats' such as beef. This will dissipate within 10-15 minutes of unwrapping.

Safe Food Handling

At Heal Farm our systems are scrupulous in food hygiene & handling and we urge you to take similar steps to avoid any possibilities of cross-contamination:

Raw meat and poultry at the bottom of a fridge and cooked items uppermost; food preparation of each on different surfaces.

With houses being largely warmer these days great care should be taken to minimise the length of time that foods are left un-chilled.
